What is Handwashing Mindfulness?
Use your Senses of Touch, Sight, & Hearing during washing your hands.
Step #1: Turn the water on
*What are you feeling? Is it warm or cold?
Step #2: After you turn the water off
Step #3: Get the soap -Lather the soap
*Some things to think about -What are you smelling? Is it a pleasant odor? Does it remind you of anything? What sensations are you feeling?
Step #4: Washing and rubbing your hands with the soap for the 20 seconds
* How does this make you feel? Counting to 20 seconds or singing a song
*Take these moments to think and reflect on how you are taking care of yourself by washing your hands to keep you healthy!
Step #5: Rinse your hands
Step# 6: Dry your hands
