I understand how messy and unpredictable life is right now in the middle of a global pandemic. Life is pretty different at the moment.
My goal is to support your student with structure, but extend grace where it's merited.
Assignments are typically due by 10:15 a.m. the following school day (or for longer projects on the date listed).
If you student contacts me before 9:00 a.m. on the assignment's due date - via private comment or phone call - I may be able to offer a short extension. If I haven't heard from the student by the due date, no extensions will be given except in extreme circumstances.
It's vital that students are staying on top of their work and communicating early if they need extra support or time.
Any classroom specific test or summative assessment is eligible for a re-take if the following criteria are met:
The student is willing to commit to a study/review plan
Students have 48 hours after getting their graded test back to submit a request to re-take.
This policy cannot be used frequently. It should be the extra grace safety net, not the regular plan for tests.
It is up to teacher discretion whether to approve your plan.
