Mr. Miller is from Gig Harbor, Washington, and has attended Washington State University, Salem State University, and Northeastern University. He has degrees in Biology (Marine Concentration), Chemistry, and a Master's in Science Education. He has traveled extensively, living at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands for many years, and in the greater Boston area for over 20 years. He has visited all the US States (except Arkansas and Alaska, but they're on the list!), the Federated States of Micronesia, the East Caroline Islands, the Marianas, Palau, Mexico, Canada and recently spent a year teaching grade 8 General Science in Espanola, New Mexico. He currently lives in Sant Fe, New Mexico, and teaches grades 7 & 8 Robotics and Automation at Milagro Middle School.

Mr. Miller is an accomplished scuba diver, outdoor enthusiast and author. His hobbies include guitars, video production, hiking, and camping. He collects guitars, likes blues music, and only rides horses anymore if forced into it.
