About Mr. Lachance

Mr. Lachance has been teaching for a decade, in many different learning contexts. In Mongolia, Montreal, elementary, secondary, and in private, public, and alternative school settings. He has his bachelor's of Education (B.Ed) from McGill and a Master of Arts in Education (M.A. Ed.) from the University of Ottawa. Most recently he was teaching at the Lindsay Place alternative center attached to Hadley, where he taught many different levels and subjects, including math.

When not in the classroom he is probably renovating his house, woodworking, or reading, or learning. Come Fall, 2018, he will be completing his certification in the Woodworking Techniques program at Algonquin College.

All these experiences have cemented the idea that while not every student may enjoy every one of their courses, every individual can develop a love for learning something. High school is a good a place as any to start thinking about what that may be.
