Grammar and Testing
In every major testing scenario for English, there are grammar questions. Over the years, I've developed many handouts and address the grammar standards of the CAHSEE, STAR, SAT, and now CAASPP. The goal is to give a quality grammar overview with a heavy focus on the particular errors common to 10th graders.
The average sophomore has a weaknesses in: rare and irregular noun plurals, identifying rare nouns through suffixes, irregular past tense verbs, subject and object pronouns, subject-verb agreement, verb-preposition combinations, tenses and modals, and parallelism.
