Class overview
I am so excited to be assiting you in your English language acqusition. Throughout the school year, you will have the opportunity to practice your spoken and written English language skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Furthermore, I hope that throughout the duration of this course you will be able to develop a a culturally competent worldview by learning more about American society, traditions, culture, history, and politics. This course will be solely administered in the English language as immersion and exposure to the language will best prepare you for life outside of the classroom walls.

Biography
My name is Eric Budd. I was born in Canton, Michigan which is about 20 minutes outside of Detroit, Michigan. I studied Secondary Education-Social Studies at Aquinas College where I also played ice hockey. After I graduated from from Aquinas College in 2021, I continued my education at the University of Notre Dame as a teaching fellow for the Alliance of Catholic Education (ACE) where I received my Masters in Education (M.ED) in 2023. While I was taking courses to receive my Masters in Education, I was also teaching simultaneously at an all boys high school in New Orleans, Louisiana called Archbishop Shaw. This is going to be my fourth year teaching and I am extremely excited to be an English Language teacher here at Petar Bogdan FLHS! I look forward to working and learning with each and everyone of you.
