During the weekend of February 10-11, the Petar Bogdan FLHS Best team travelled to Sofia to compete in the West Tournament. Although, the team did win first place this time around, many of the participants received individual accolades and reached the qualifications to attend Nationals later this year! 

Novice Duo Interpretation: Dagi Kemnova & Mira Georgiev (3rd place) Nikol Dimitrova & Palmiria Petrova (4th place) 

Varsity Duo Interpretation: Ivan Ivanov & Christina Petrova (2nd place) Katerina Mateeva & Nadia Mateeva (7th place) 

Novice Prose: Denislav Alexandrov (3rd place) 

Varsity Oratory: Stillian Tsolov (4th Place) 

National Qualifiers: Zornitsa Asenova (Novice Prose), Milen Iliev (Novice Prose), Palmiria Petrova (Novice Prose), Victoria Paranova (Varsity Prose), Katerina Mateeva (Varsity Prose), Reni Petrova (Varsity Oratory), Denislav Alexandrov (Novice Poetry), Milen Illiev & Reni Petrova (Varsity Duo) 

During the weekend of November 10th-12th the Petar Bogdan FLHS Best team travelled to Blagoevgrad to compete in the West Tournament. The team led by the student leaders of Dagi Kamenova & Mira Georgieva performed extremely well was as they won 1st place in the tournament for the best small team (16 or less students). Additionally all students who attended the event qualified for nationals in the Spring and many of them took home individual awards: 

Novice Debate: Dagi Kamenova (3rd Place-Speaker) 

Varsity Duo: Nadia Mateeva & Kamelia Evtimova (6th Place) Reni Petrova & Zori Dimitrova (4th Place), Kristina Petrova & Ivan Ivanov (3rd Place)

Varsity Oratory: Stilliyan Tsolov (6th Place) & Reni Petrova (4th Place) 

Varsity Prose: Zori Dimitrova (3rd Place)
