Question: What are "homework notebooks"?
Answer: Homework notebooks consist of the work you did while completing homework assignments. All online homework (or quizzes, as applicable) must be included for full credit.
Notebooks are graded on (1) neatness, (2) completeness and (3) organization. NOTE: They are not graded on correct solutions, as the online homework does that already.
For face-to-face courses, these will be handed in physically and for online courses, these will be submitted via Google Form (see question below). You may use an app like "Cam Scanner" to create a PDF of your work, or pictures/scanned images of your work can be inserted into a Google Doc for submission.
Question: Can I turn my homework notebook/project in late?
Answer: Yes. 10 points per day for Homework Notebooks and 25 points per day for projects may be deducted.
Question: I missed a exam because of (insert reasoning here)! Can I make it up?
Answer: Any make-up exams will be given at my discretion. To be considered for a make-up exam, you must contact me by email and any make-up exams will be given within 1 week of the original exam date.
Question: Can I make up a missed exam?
Answer: Any exam that is missed must be approved by me, and must be arranged within 2 class days.
Question: Can I re-attempt an exam or project?
Answer: No, there are no re-attempts.
Question: Can I get an extension on an online homework assignment?
Answer: You must contact me by email to arrange any extensions.
Question: Can I use my calculator in class?
Answer: Absolutely! I welcome the use of mathematical technology in class.
Question: What about the app ClassCalc or Desmos?
Answer: Both of these (or many others) may be used during class for calculations. However, for exam-use we will discuss this more in-class.
Question: Can I use my phone in class?
Answer: To text, tweet, snap, etc.? No way, unless specifically allowed for classroom purposes. Use of technology for non-educational purposes, or use at inappropriate times is grounds for student dismissal from class (for the day). Also, see the previous question!

Question: How can I turn in my homework notebook electronically?
Answer: Using the "Project Submission" form, choose "Homework Notebook" and attach your files. (1 files may be submitted. If you have more files, consider inserting them into a Google Doc and attaching the document instead.)
