Welcome to TBS

News:

We are excited to host our past two student rabbis, Edie Yakutis and Ilana Symons, as guests for the weekend of July 16-18th, 2021. We will have services led by Dan Arnold at 7pm on Friday (outdoors if weather permits). We will also have a picnic on Saturday beginning at 5pm at 111 Lakewood Lane, Marquette. Sign up for the potluck at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0d44aaab2aa3f85-july . We hope to see familiar faces as well as those who have joined our community since the beginning of the pandemic.

Due to safety concerns, we ask that those who have not yet been vaccinated, join us via Zoom using our regular services link.

Who we are:

Temple Beth Sholom was founded in 1952 in Ishpeming, Michigan when the city was a business center for the county. Over the years, the population has shifted to Marquette and thus, TBS moved too.

Throughout the year, we work as volunteers with the help of a student rabbi from HUC-JIR in Cincinnati to provide a variety of learning, social, religious opportunities.

We open our doors to individuals who have grown up Jewish, chosen to be Jewish, are part of an interfaith family, or are seeking more information or an attachment to Judaism. We have members of all ages and there is a distinct family atmosphere for those who participate.
