ATC Tool Sets

CNC Tooling Toolsets Tab

Tool Sets will be used by the Optimizer when G-Code is generated to process the parts and panels. Create as many toolsets as needed to run your machine / shop.

Tool Sets are selected on the Optimize Tab in the Optimizer as well as the GCode dialog when processing one sheet.

(HINT - Use tool set names that describe the application for the tools. Example - Door Tools)

NOTE - You can only have ONE Profile Tool per Toolset.

Selecting a Toolset

Click the Toolset Tab

Use the dropdown Toolsets menu to select a Toolset

The tools, tool diameter, and selected application for each tool will be displayed.

NOTE: You cannot modify tool properties on the Toolset Tab. If you need to modify the tool, click on the Tool Properties Tab.

Click Add Toolset to create a new Toolset.

Click Rename Toolset to modify the name of an existing Toolset.

Click Delete Toolset to permanently remove the Toolset. (this will not delete the tools from the Tool List).

Add a Tool to a Toolset.

Click on the Toolset Tab

Select a Toolset from the dropdown menu

Click a tool in the Tool List (1)

Click Insert Tool button (2)

Use the up/down arrow keys to arrange placement of the tool in the Toolset (3).

NOTE the T# in the toolset is used in the Post Processor to identify the tool position in the ATC. (automatic tool changer)

To remove a tool from the toolset

Click on the tool in the ToolSet display window

Click Remove Tool.

NOTE this will move all tools up in the toolset.

Add a Blank Tool to a Toolset

If you have empty positions in your ATC, click Add Blank Tool# button, then use the Up/Down arrows to position the empty slot in the proper position
