Stretch Cabinet Depth
Click on the front stretch arrow to change the depth of the cabinet using the mouse.
New Stretch Options
Mozaik will now prompt you on the stretch direction when changing the width at the Product Tab.
Enhanced Wall Layout.
Added capability to add a wall to any wall end in the design.
Click on any wall in the design, press ADD WALL button on Wall Menu, select the end to add wall.
Draw Walls Freehand
Added the capability to freehand design your room without need to select a pre-drawn configuration. Simply click Draw Walls button on the Room Menu, click to place the first end point of a new wall draw the length and direction of wall then left-click the mouse to place the second end point of the wall ... continue until room complete.
NOTE - the wall length is automatically highlighted as you are drawing so you can easily type in the wall lengths.
Create Curved Walls
You may now bulge any wall creating a curved wall. Products may be placed on the walls, cabinets may also be autofilled.
To measure curved walls in the field:
1) Pull a straight line from one end of the wall to the opposite end (see figure B) Measure the length of the straight line.
2) Determine the angle of the line between the connecting wall and the straight line. (see figure A)
3) At the centerpoint of the line, measure the distance to the curve (see figure C). This is the bulge.
Use the field dimensions described above to enter the curved wall in Mozaik:
1) Draw the angled wall
2) Enter the Bulge
Products may be placed or autofilled along the curve.
New Island Configurations
Click Room Tab -> Click Wall Tab -> Click Add Island -> select your island configuration.
In addition to the single and double faced islands we have added 2 new configurations, Four Sided Islands & the "Hockey Stick" shaped island.
The Four Sided island makes it easy to create islands with "end cap cabinets".
The Hockey Stick shaped island is available in single and doubled sided. You may rotate this island and change the wall angles to accommodate may different looks.
These islands do not require walls to be drawn front and back, instead the cabinet space has been enhanced to allow cabinets to be placed without additional walls.
You still have the ability to add as many invisible walls as needed to a job to create any possible island.
Added Placement Buttons to Room Tab
Click Room Tab -> Click on the Field Measure Tabs
In addition to the bump left/right, center on, and center in product space buttons from the Products Tab, we also added a new Center Line button that will center the item on the wall.
Rotate Items in Corner
A new option has been added to snap a product into a corner rotated at 45 deg angle (great for corner sinks, ovens, etc)
Place a cabinet on the wall, right click -> select Rotate into (left/right) Corner. Cabinet automatically snaps into corner - other cabinets will automatically bump to rotated cabinet. Options allow cabinet to be automatically placed so faces will align with adjacent cabinets or placed with back corners on the walls or outset by any dimension as shown in the illustration on the left.
Place your rotated corner cabinets FIRST, then place other cabinets in the room.
You can easily rotate a sink in the corner as well.
Simply place the sink,

Set the Sink Wall to the proper corner.
Enhanced Measure Tool
Measure Tool can now snap to product and wall corners and faces

NOTE - if you want it to connect between two obects (like 2 cabinets - simply get close the the second cabinet & click)
Click on the measurement, click nodes on ends to reposition.
Right click on an added measurement to edit or delete.
Measure Tool dimension lines may now be added to printouts if desired. (See New Drawings Settings below)
New Molding Profile Selector
Added the ability to graphically select your molding profiles on the Profile Tab.
Click Automatic Mold, check the appropriate molding, use the dropdown menu to select each profile.
Click the Shapes Library dropdown menu to select a different Library for each profile. (you can use any shape from any of the molding libraries)
A new LightRail Shape Library has been added to V4.
New Drawings Settings
Click View -> Click Drawings
The following options have been added:
Display Base Cabinet dimensions in Plan View
Display Wall Cabinet dimensions in Plan View
Print Rulers (Measure Tool measurements)
Display Architectural Door Swings
New Draw Tops Mode
Added ability to manually draw counter tops on the Tops Tab. This is ideal for creating free standing tops and tops along curved walls.
Click the Draw New Top button to draw a top. NOTE - You must be within the cabinet space.
Click ESC or Right Click the mouse to complete the drawing.
Click on any top, right click, to modify with the Shape Editor or on the Floor Plan. The Shape Editor is still very useful for adding operations to the tops or creating a radius corner
.Right Click on any edge in the Floor Plan Draw Mode to modify the edges. (Top must first be selected)
Extend Edge By - allows you to enter overhang for that edge
Set Edge Length To - allows you to type in the edge length
Set Bulge To - allows you to type the bulge dimension
Bulge - allows you to use the mouse to create the bulge
Split - allows you to Split the Top
Splash - allows you to identify the edges with splash. they will be displayed in blue on the Top Tab
NOTE - remember when drawing with the mouse to use the ESC key or a RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON CLICK to end your operation.
After Modifying a Top in the Floor Plan View
click Accept Edits button to save your changes
click Reject Edits button to ignore the changes
New Equal Sections Split.
A new option has been added to the Face Tab and the Interior Tab allowing a section to be split equally - horizontally or vertically.
Simply click on the section,
next, click on the section type,
then, select the number of splits horizontally or vertically.
Click OK.
NOTE - Select the TYPE before sectioning and Mozaik will create the split with the type selected.
New Material Template option for split materials.
The ability to create separate material templates for Doors, Drawer boxes, and Cases has been added. You may continue to use the Combo Templates as before, OR you may elect to setup your materials separately for Doors, Drawer/Tray Boxes, and Cabinet cases. for example, if you build your cabinet boxes from 2 materials, your drawer bnoxes from 3 types of materials, and your doors from 4 different type materials, in the new setup you would create 2+3+4 = 9 templates ... whereas in previous versions you would have to create 2x3x4=24 templates to cover all combinations of materials.

Cutlist Room Selector
Added ability to select multiple rooms to display and/or send parts to the optimizer.

New Import Order File option
Added the ability to import an order file at the Order Tab. A sample XML file is supplied with the update. This file is capable of importing Product Name, Quantity, and Size. The Product Name must match a library item EXACTLY.
Splats
- Removed the limit on number of Rooms per Job. Now unlimited.
- Removed the limit on number of Walls per Job. Now unlimited.
- Wall thickness is now represented in Mozaik correctly. (previously it was fixed at 4")
- A Message now appears in Mozaik when a job is open in Sketchup - reminding you to close Sketchup to continue.
- Drawer Stretchers now show up in all MultiPrint Assembly Lists
Microsoft discontinued support of Windows XP - 4/18/2014. Version 4.0 of the Mozaik Optimizer released on 5/18/2015 requires the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework (4.5 or newer), therefore The Mozaik Optimizer will no longer be compatible with Windows XP.
Windows Version 7, Version 8, Version 8.1 and newer will update your .NET Framework automatically.

Exporting Data from Mozaik to Paperless Shop Tablet Apps
To export job data from Mozaik to the Cutlist App or the Assemly App:
Click File
Click Export to Apps
select the Application Data type (Cutlist or Assembly) then select the items to export.
You can export all data to one file or you can split the data into multiple files. Use the File Location settings to save he files in a convenient location so you can easily open them with the tablet. Recommended options:
1) Use the cloud to store the jobs (Dropbox, Google Drive, Sky Drive, ...)
2) Save to a shared folder on your harddrive.
3) Save to a network drive.
Exporting Data from Mozaik Optimizer to Paperless Shop Tablet Apps
To export label data from the Mozaik Optimizer to the Label App:
Click File
Click Export to Label App
make sure the file location matches the file locations set on your Tablet.
Changing Job Parameters on the Products Tab
A new tab has been added to the library view on the Products Tab. Click this tab to view and change the values of the Job Parameters. (Full parameter view is still available by clicking Edit -> Job Parameters)
Enable/Disable Custom Parameters on the Products Tab
If the currently selected library has Custom Parameters, you can enable/disable them from the library viewer on the Products Tab.
Standard Depth Drawers
Check this box in the drawer library to use standard drawer depths. Depths must be entered separated by commas, you cannot enter fractions.
Horizontal Hinge Plates
Click the Horizontal checkbox in the Hardware -> Hinge Library to use horizontal mounting plates for hinges. Once selected enter the hole separation in the designated dialog.
Mozaik Update Version 4.1.1 August 2015
New Drawing Modes.
Click View -> Drawings. (This can also be changed with the Layers Button on the Side Toolbar.)
Simplified View (Mozaik default) - fast, simple drawings. Ideal for initial detailing and slower devices.
Wireframe View - Shows all available objects in the orthographic view.
Hidden Line - Shows only those items that should be visible from a given orthographic perspective. If you are using highly detailed Sketchup objects in your designs, we do not recommend you use this mode while detailing ... but rather as a mode to create finished drawings.
New Options added to the Side Toolbar.
New Wireframe and Hiddenline drawings have Layers.
Click the new Layers Icon on the Side Toolbar in plan or elevation view on the Products Tab to select your viewing mode and set your layers for each view.
The Mode you are currently displaying will be the mode exported when you select Print DXFs or MulitPrint.
Note: Sketchup Objects are now shown with full detail. If your computer is a little too slow, you can check to display appliances in name only.
MultiPrint Enhancements.
Multi-Print may now be accessed directly from the file menu.
Click File -> MultiPrint
Page Size can now be specified in MultiPrint.
Click Setup -> Page Setup -> select your paper size.
Click the Layers Icon on the top Toolbar to access Drawing Layers.
Right Click on a drawing to change the layers per drawing.
Right Click on the Drawing to set its scale.
New Parameters Added
Door Category. We have split FLRevS into 3 parameters.
- FLRevS will now be the side reveal for unfinished ends.
- FLRevF is a new reveal parameter for finished ends.
- FLRevC is a new reveal parameter for cabinet by cabinet.
Dado Category.
- Added ParDado to control the dado depth of partitions separate from shelves. (previously controlled by FixShDado dado)
Scribe Category. Split TScribe into 2 parameters.
- TScribe is now for base cabinet top scribe only.
- TScribeW has been added to control wall cabinet top scribe.
Other Category.
- EdgeTemp has been added to select the Edge Assignment Template.
New Help Icon
A Help Icon has been added throughout the program.
These Icons will automatically launch the appropriate help file or video for the current screen / menu.
Mozaik will be adding more and more videos/help icons over time.
Shape Editor / Operations Editor.
Added Undo button to the Editor(s).
Added Copy / Paste functions to the Editor(s).
Added ability to move a line between two nodes in the Editor(s) ..
New Parts Library
Libraries -> Parts
Added a new Parts Library adding the following options:
- Enter a report name for the parts. This will change the name of the parts as they appear on all lists & reports.
NOTE: the Part Type is still used to write formulas and equations.
- Identify which part types are sent to the Optimizer for processing.
- Add labor per part type for Base and Wall cabinet types.
Material Library Update
Libraries -> Materials
Added new Cut / Copy / Paste functions to the library.
Separated the Library into three tabs:
- Panel Stock for all sheet goods (Plywood, MDF, etc)
- Board Stock for all Solid lumber
- Edgebanding for all materials used with the New Edgeband capability.
NOTE - Existing Customers, all existing Materials will be in the Panel Stock Tab, you can easily Cut and Paste to the appropriate tab.
Material Template Update
Version 4.2 includes new banding capability that allows for up to 4 different edge materials per cabinet.
A new Banding Template has been added to the Material Templates to allow banding materials to be specified per Edge assignment.
Add Notes to Plans and Elevations
Added the ability to add notes to plans and elevations. Notes can be minimized on the view. notes can also be printed to scale or to font size.

New Edgebanding Capability
Added a new Edgebanding UI allowing the user to select each edge of each part for banding. You can assign up to 4 different bandings per template. Mozaik will automatically reduce the size of the part based on the thickness of the banding applied per edge.
Edges are labeled with the banding number per edge. These edge labels can be displayed and printed on labels, apps, and reports.
Banding can also be modified per part. A new banding tab has been added to the part editor to allow customization per part and to allow the user to band custom shaped parts.
NOTE - Select NO BANDING for Edge Assignment Template on the Settings Tab to disregard banding. If you want to use edgebanding WITHOUT reducing the size of your parts, set your Banding Material Thickness to ZERO in the Material Library.
Enhanced Product Editor
Resized Product Editor Screen to make room for new functions and enlarge the Library Tree when viewing in the Library Product Editor.
Added new side toolbar for common functions including Undo / Redo, new 2d/3d product viewer, and new Scribe function for changing common scribes.
Parts to Build, Ends, Scribe, Toe functions (blue button) are now available on the side tool bar in the Product Editor. This enables editing from any of the Product Editor Tabs.
Added Undo / Redo for Product Editor.
Added new Scribe Button to change "typical" scribes on rectangular face frame cabinets. (Scribe modifications for custom shaped cabinets will still be done on the Shape Tab only.)
Parameter Tab -> Added ability to see Parameter values when accessing Parms from the Parameter Tab in the Product Editor. Also added ability to group select Parameters for customizing at Parameter Tab.
Part Tab -> updated to show Report Name from Part Library, Edgebanding assignments, and material per part. You can also use the headers to sort the parts and use the Delete Option on the Sidebar menu to delete parts from the cutlist.
New 2D/3D Product Viewer
Added a new 2D/3D Viewer enabling you to view your products as they are modified & send any view to multiprint. Great for generating cross sections, top views, etc for printing with your job.
Views include, 3D perspective, Front, Back, Left, Right, Top View. Turn layers on and off, add dimensions, view in wire frame or hidden line. Send any view to Multiprint.
The viewer will also display the highlighted part in the Ortho Views (Plan, elevations, side views). Makes it easy to know which part you are modifying on the Parts Tab when you have lots of partitions, shelves, or frame parts in the produc
Updated Info Tab
Added new options to Info Tab to allow overrides per product for Hinges, Guides, Edgebanding, and Edge Assignments.
Interior Tab -> New Split Back Option
Added ability to split a back on any Partition. Click on the Partition, check the Split Box Checkbox. You can split on multiple partitions if you like. The back is split on the center of the partition.
Product Tab Enhancements
Added ability to group select so you can copy, paste, and move items in the room. You can "rubberband" select items and/or use the standard Windows keys for selecting deselecting (CTRL & SHIFT). You can also use the handy placement buttons like Wall Center, Cabinet Center, and Bump Left/Right to quickly move a group of items.
Selected items can also be saved into the new FAVORITES Tab on the Products Tree. The Favorites can consist of any number of items from various libraries. The items can then be placed, moved, copied ... as a group.
Added Right Click Product Option to View Parameter Overrides.
Modified Right Click Ends Menu so changes made in Product Tab, Shape Tab, and Ends Menu sync automatically.
Added Right Click option to see Parameter Overrides per Product. Selecting this option will open the Product Editor at the Parameter Tab as well.
Settings Tab
Added the Material Template Type to the Settings Tab to aid in selecting Templates per job.
Added new banding templatess to Settings Tab.
NOTE - Select NO BANDING on the Edge Assignment Template to disregard banding. If you want to use edgebanding WITHOUT reducing the size of your parts, set your Banding Material Thickness to ZERO.
Library Enhancements
Door Library -> Added ability to use SKP Door Models with 5 piece door cutlist. Simply check the Sketchup Model checkbox and select the SKP model you want ot use to display the 5 piece door.
Drawer Library -> Added ability to shape drawer box bottom and add operations. (aids in creating drawer box parts for the new Blum LegraBox and others)
Hardware Library -> Added a new option to the Guides Tab allowing you to add up to 2 additional boring holes for each guide.
Joint Fasteners Enhancements
Added ability to specify Base/Wall cabinet type in Joint Fasteners.
Added New Partition Tab to Joint Fasteners allowing fasteners to be placed on partitions automatically for each Partitions joint type.
Drawings Tab
Added ability to display Door Hardware & Architectural Swings together. These options can be set in View -> Drawings Preferences and also accessed from the Layers Menu in the Product Tab.
Bug Splats in Version 4.2
- Resolved issue with Hardware quantities in Price Tab for items overridden on Face Tab.
- Optimizer - Pattern Tab sheet count display now resets properly for next material.
- Optimizer - Resolved issue with extremely large jobs and memory loss.
- Stretcher shape now fixed for corner cabinets and other irregular shaped products.
- Ends to Floor cabinets now always draw properly in Face Tab and DXF views.
- Dovetail drawer R2 radius now adds the tool radius automatically (for Vortex 9101).
- Void toe height now displays properly in Wire Frame mode on Product Tab Elevations.
- SysHoleDia now supports 1/4" holes for partitions.
- Custom Parameters now support the Product Option setting on the CP Product Tab.
- Partitions with blind dado, nailer, and stretcher notch now shape properly.

Mozaik Update Version 4.3 May 2016
Libraries -> Hardware.
Added ability to import and export individual hardware items. This will allow customers to share individual hardware setups and allow Mozaik to develop hardware library items to share without overwriting your current setups.

Blind Dado Backs.
Parameters -> Backs. Added Qualified Tennon / Blind Dado Backs.
Added parametric option for each back joint to enable blind dados and qualified tennons. Simply click each Bk joint parameter and select the appropriate setting.
Two new parameters were also added to control the blind setback and the qualified thickness of the tennon:
BkBlindDado - controls the setback amount from each edge for back joints only.
BkQDado - controls the thickness of the qualified dado for backs only.
Parameters -> Interior
Added several parameters to automatically add drawer stretchers and partitions from the face section splits. Added a checkbox on the FACE TAB to enable the interior parts creation when the cabinet is sectioned or redesigned.
FACE TAB - Automate Interiors Checked -> Interior Tab
TopDwrStr - (none, Flush Top, Flush Bottom, Center). This parameter will automatically add a drawer stretcher under the top drawer opening.
DwrStr - (none, Flush Top, Flush Bottom, Center). This parameter will automatically add a drawer stretcher between all mid drawers.
MidStretcherW - Width of stretchers placed between drawers.
DwrPartition - (none, Single, Double). This parameter will automatically add partition(s) between drawers.
Parameters -> Ends -> AddMitreAmt
Setting this parameter to yes will add to the width of your 45 deg corner cabinet ends to allow for a mitre cut. (For example, if your 45 deg corner cabinet side depth is 12", your end panel will be sized at 12 3/4. This has been set as a default internally since V 3.0).
Setting this parameter to "no" will leave the ends at the shaped depth size. We recommend all frameless shops update their Frameless corner cabinets with this new option as it will eliminate molding issues in Sketchup.
Split Back on Fixed Shelf
Added the ability to split a back on a full width fixed shelf.
Click on the Shelf
verify TYPE is set to Fixed
check Split Back
UBack will be split in the center of the Fixed Shelf.
Hinge Plate Boring for Doors hinged Top / Bottom.
Doors hinged top/bottom will now have boring and the hinge plate boring will be transferred to the appropriate cabinet part (top, bottom, fixed shelf).

New Shotgun Lineboring Option
Parameters -> 32mm -> Sysholes -> Shotgun Bore
Added a new "Shotgun Bore" selection to the Sysholes Parameter. This setting uses the same options as USE LINE BORE and will place full line boring on the panels EXCEPT IT WILL NOT align hardware items in the holes or resize drawer boxes to align with the linebore.
Hinge Plates & Drawer Guides will be bored separately.
Copy Optimizer GCode Summary.
Added the option to copy the information displayed after GCode is generated on the Patterns Tab.
After Optimization has been run
highlight all data in the Optimize Summary window
Press CTRL-C to copy to your clipboard
You can then paste the information using standard Windows commands into other applications.
Splats.
- Resolved the issue with the Biesse CIX post and open toolpaths (like the squaring cut on flip sheets).
- Resolved issue with scroll bars vanishing in the Material Library.
- Resolved the issue with edgebanding not showing up on Blind Dado shaped drawer fronts and backs automatically created by Mozaik.
- Resolved issue with flip part equations in the Y Axis orienting incorrectly.
- Resolved issue with Partition Joint Fasteners ignoring the size parameter.
- Resolved issue with View Model button on Appliance Properties dialog.
- Resolved issue with US and USC looking to adjacent cabinet for width in some cases.

- Size calculations for all corner cabinet faces has been updated to match 4.1.1. NOTE - any adjustments made for Version 4.2 will need to be undone for Version 4.3.
Corners should behave exactly as they did in Version 4.1.1.
- Drawer rear mount sockets now work with all Face Frame applications.
- Guides, Pulls, Doors, Drawers counts have been updated in Pricing Tab.
- Resolved issue with flipped parts in optimizer.
- Top / Bottom hinge holes are now eliminated if hinging set to None.
- TyDorCl now adjusts properly when placed in cabinets with partitions.
- Partition texture is now displayed properly in Sketchup.
