Why is this innovative?

The intersection of psychology, economics and disruptive technologies makes the design of the interventions a novel and unique design to influence parental attitudes and behavior towards education. While the social norms campaign aims to directly inform and encourage parents to invest in education by a) showing aspirational videos, b) explaining how to help children to learn at home, and c) informing parents about the local school facilities; the mobile learning intervention aims to directly help children to learn how to read at home.

The way to communicate such channels to parents is through videos, post-screening discussions and mobile-phones to make parents reflect about the value of education and increase their beliefs about their ability to help their children to learn at home.
