Achievements

Over the years the FOMF have received plenty of positive feedback directly and in comments in log books. The very latest is on this page.

Details on the FOMF projects are held on a separate website.

T1 Sections of the Tarn Shelf Track between the Rodway Shelter and Lake Newdegate have been hardened and aligned to a single track rather than the multiple ones that had developed.

T2 Lake Belcher Track The section of track between Wombat Moor and the Humboldt River has been cleared of overgrowing vegetation.

T3 Lake Webster Track has been cleared of overgrowing vegetation. The track from the road to Lake Webster and beyond to Twilight Tarn, including side tracks to Platypus Tarn and Lake Seal, are maintained. A section of boardwalk was added to the Lake Seal side track to avoid deep mud.

T4 The Lake Fenton Track has been cleared of overgrowing vegetation. The full length of the track between Lakes Fenton and Webster has been cleared of overgrowing vegetation

T5 Hardened with timber and information signs have been placed on Wombat Moor.

T6 Our biggest projects have been on the Mount Field East Circuit and side tracks with extensive hardening, timber boardwalk, a bridge as well as regular clearing of vegetation. This track has been the subject of our major achievements with the timber walkway over Windy Moor, a bridge and timber walkway at Lake Fenton and creating a new track to Beatties Tarn. Over the years many sections of the track network have been repaired and improved and vegetation cleared.

T7 The Old Pack Track link on the Mount Field East walks has been cleared and reopened.
