Throughout the school year the School Counselors will meet with students by Grade Level to present what we call the Student ECAP Program. ECAP stands for Education and Career Action Plan. The Student ECAP Program which is required and approved by the AZ Department of Education and is designed to guide students through an exploration and planning process to ensure a smooth transition from high school graduation to their chosen Postsecondary or After High School Pathway. The Student ECAP Program will consist of self-exploration, career, and higher education exploration and planning. This exploration and planning is where students learn about themselves and what options are available to them after high school. Through the Student ECAP Program students will create and maintain a Education and Career Action Plan (ECAP Plan), which reflects a student’s current Plan of Coursework, Career Aspirations, Extracurricular Activities, and Extended Learning Opportunities in order to develop the student’s individual Academic, Career Goals and Postsecondary or Higher Educational Plans to ensure it all aligns to their individual interests to help them reach their Education and Career Goals. The Student ECAP Program is designed to focus on the Student's Education and Career Readiness.
