Powo Primary School is a public educational institution in East Asembo, Rarieda. Our hosts' interest in MountainFilm stems from a need to raise funds to support many of their students who are financially strained. The school is running a programme called the 4K Club, where they have begun planting vegetables, fruits, and trees to sell to the community in order to raise money for a feeding programme. Many of the students come from impoverished backgrounds and broken families, leading to significant hunger issues.
We hope to support the 4K Club by providing connections and the resources they need. Additionally, we aim to assist a select group of children that the school identifies for financial aid, covering their school fees, uniforms, and other educational support.
We also hope to contribute to raising the school library's profile and resources, ensuring that students have access to a wider range of learning materials to support their educational journey.
