Camper Welcome Letter

Check-In/Out:

Check in begins at 1:45 pm.  All Campers must be checked in with camp staff at the check-in table.  Late arrivals must check in at the headquarters tent.  Please pick up campers promptly at 8:00 pm M-W and 9 pm on TH.  Campers must be signed into and out of camp at the sign out tables at the main headquarters tent.  Campers will only be released to adults listed on the Parent Safety Agreement for Campers at Day Camp release form.  The adults listed on this form must show PHOTO IDENTIFICATION and will be required to sign for the camper they are picking up.  For your camper’s safety, there will be no exceptions.  All changes must be made in writing to the Camp Director with the parent/guardian’s signature.

Absences: If your child will be absent from camp, please call 425-327-0362 by noon if possible.  If a camper will be arriving late or will be picked up early, we also need to be notified ahead of time by the parent or guardian.

All campers need to bring the following :

Note about Bucket Sit-upon: All returning campers please bring your camp bucket sit-upon's. Everything needs to be labeled with the camper’s name.  New campers will be given their bucket sit-upon's at the start of camp. We have donated buckets from E&E lumber for anyone who wants them or campers can bring a round 5 gallon bucket to make into their sit-upon. No lid required. Fred Myers has pretty colors and Home Depot and Lowe's have Seahawks themed if you are interested. Walmart has the cheapest in price but they only have white and blue.

Clothing:

REMEMBER CAMP SHIRTS AND PROPER FOOTWEAR NEED TO BE WORN EACH DAY

Since we are outdoors, please wear sturdy play clothes and shoes.  We do get messy sometimes, too.  Dress appropriately for weather (e.g. Bring a raincoat or poncho if it might rain.  Campers will receive their camp T-shirt at the start of camp.  For safety and identification reasons, wearing camp T-shirts is MANDATORY.   (Long sleeves can be worn under the camp T-shirt if necessary).  Sandals, flip-flops, or any shoes with open toes, heels, sides, or wheels are not permitted.  Campers not appropriately dressed will have to wait for proper clothes from home before being allowed to participate at camp per GSWW rules.

Food:  Your scout will need a sack lunch and a water bottle.  Girl Scouts reduce, reuse, and recycle so please pack food in re-usable containers (e.g. a re-usable bottle, not a disposable juice box). We do not have facilities to prepare meals. We will be making snacks at camp. PLEASE note any food allergies on your child’s health form.
