Supply List

All Campers Should Bring:

Bring these items to Mountain Shadows Twilight Camp!

  • Camp T-Shirt - provided

  • Name Tag - provided

  • Whistle - provided

  • Water bottle filled with water (this is a requirement)

  • Sack lunch and snack (in reusable containers please)

  • Sunscreen and Insect repellent – bring it daily. Please apply according to manufacturers directions before bringing your child to camp. Please make sure your camper knows how to properly use the products. Volunteers are not permitted to apply sunscreen or bug spray to campers per GSUSA rules.

  • Bucket Sit-upon (Bring last years or provided for new campers)

  • Closed-toe shoes (this is a requirement)

  • ENTHUSIASM and lots of SMILES!

Bring, dropped off and checked in with Camp Nurse:

  • Any medication needed for the day in the original container with the prescription label

Dress for the Weather:

  • Rain jacket with hood

  • Warm sweatshirt

  • Lightweight long sleeve shirt

  • Extra pair of shorts / pants

  • Hat (sun protection)

What NOT to bring to camp:

  • Cellular phones or other electronic devices. We are having a screen-free week! If your Camper arrives with a screen, they will be asked to power off their device, and it will be kept with Unit Leaders and returned to adults at the end of the day.

  • Money, candy, or gum

  • Weapons

Clothing

Since we are outdoors, please wear sturdy clothes and shoes. We do get messy sometimes, too. Dress appropriately for weather (e.g. bring a raincoat or poncho if it might rain.) Adults and teens will receive their shirts prior to camp at the camp walk through. Campers will receive their camp T-shirt at the start of camp. For safety and identification reasons, wearing camp T-shirts is MANDATORY. T-shirts can be modified as long as the logo is intact and everything important is covered sufficiently for use at a Girl Scout camp. (Long sleeves can be worn under the camp T-shirt if necessary). Sandals, flip flops, or any shoes with open toes, heels, sides, or wheels are not permitted.

Unit Leaders Supply List:

  • Camp T-Shirts for Campers - provided on the first day of camp

  • Your Name Tag (provided)

  • Whistles for Campers- provided on the first day of camp

  • Cooler for storing lunches (we will have extras if you need one)

  • Emergency procedures (provided)

  • Clip Board (we have extras to borrow if you need one)

  • Blanket for campers to sit on

  • Pop-up shelter if you have one

  • Craft supplies for unit time are available and will be provided. If you have any special requests let us know.

  • Camp chair for yourself if desired

  • Secret camper bag if participating

Station Leaders & Other Volunteers Supply List:

  • Camp T-Shirt (provided)

  • Whistle - provided on the first day of camp

  • Nametag (provided already or at June meeting)

  • Pop-up shelter if you have one

  • Camp chair for yourself if desired

  • Secret camper bag if participating

Anything you need specifically for your station outside of what you have requested with Wombat.

All Volunteers Should Bring:

  • Insect repellent and sunscreen for personal use

  • Other – supplies as needed for your position

  • ENTHUSIASM and lots of SMILES!

WE ASK THAT ALL VOLUNTEERS LEAVE THEIR PHONES STOWED UNLESS THERE IS AN EMERGENCY OR FOR PICTURE TAKING. WE WILL HAVE WALKIE TALKIES AVAILABLE FOR CAMP COMMUNICATIONS.
