Ardath House

This house was built by Grant Allen's inlaws on Wolfe Island opposite Kingston. It was probably used as a summer residence. Local rumour has it that Grant Allen was born here, but in fact it was not completed until after his birth. However, he certainly stayed here as a boy. More details are in the book. The house fell into ruin and nothing remains except some foundations. At one time the Grant family owned about half the land on Wolfe Island.
