More in-depth into the show

MorningStar follows Ember, a boarlin who is trying to escape the grasps of the all-powerful Heartsick crime family. Ember will come across some new faces, like Jessica, a famous speed-skater and a kind soul to Ember, and Jak, the literal bodyguard for the Heartsick family, and some old faces like Ember's ex-boyfriend, Xavior Heartsick, the leader of the Heartsick crime family, Ember's OTHER ex-boyfriend, Ozzie, who's in a similar boat to Ember, and Fritz, the Ember's villainous brother. These are the main characters of the show, and are frequently focused upon. There will be many different ideas that will be explored in the show, such as handling grief, surviving emotional and physical abuse, living and growing up surrounded by crime, and beyond.

Our rating comes from the Canadian Broadcasting Standards Council (CBSC), and our project falls under the category of  TV-MA(16+). While we cannot stop you from viewing this contect if you are underage, we strongly advise not to.

* Please don't watch this at the workplace or school, trust me. You'll avoid funny looks for certain scenes.

Season 1 will have 16 episodes. Staring from 0, which is the Pilot animatic, then from Episode 1 (Overgrown), so on and so forth. We plan for 4 seasons, of which Season 1 is the longest as we need Episodes 1-4 to set up a VERY important plot point.

It takes roughly 18 months to produce a whole episode. We have Episodes 1-8 mostly recorded. Pay attention to our social pages for updates, as this website may not be completely updated. (Usually updated two weeks before and after release.)

A Premeire link on Youtube will be created 2 days (48 hours) before episodes, and 3 days for any major ones. 

Literally because most of those characters have 1-2 episodes or even just a scene. We list the characters (unless if its a suprise one) to properly credit the actors beforehand.

Characters of importance will eventually get their own section as the series progresses. We barely introduce any other characters after season 2, and we just keep building off of the ones we have.

VERY, VERY long story, but will be summarized.

MorningStar started out as a slice of life joke series that parodied family guy, except it was with friends.. and also sadly inspired by a Minecraft server that basically everybody trauma-bonded on back in 2020.

Essentially, we all kinda messed around with our characters and suddenly in 2022 we locked in and developed these characters, and we decided to add a mafia theme as we felt like the mafia was being too glorifed in media. We added other bits and boom- MorningStar was born.

Genuinely crazy that the first concept doesnt even MATCH the full beast we created now.

Episode 9 or 16. Something really ""funny"" happens in those.

Not everything with a cartoony style and animated is based off of that. Our ideas pre-date the first season by like 2 years.. Job time.

I'll answer on behalf of the script writers;
For me, Its Ember. They are LITERALLY a reflection of me and some of my struggles. I'd like to assume that JC LOVES Jak (he really really loves him, thats his baby), and Hubikat probably likes well; idk dude take a guess. Hubi Kat. Boom!!.

Fritz. You'll know why. I dont like him at all, but he's interesting..

I feel like its going to be Ozzie or Ember. If its going to be Camy then im quitting (im kidding)
