For our fall print issue “Apricity,” I wrote about growing up in my small hometown in rural northern Wisconsin. I focused on the traditions of deer hunting and how tightly-knit our community is through traditions like these and social gatherings like bars and church services. I wrote the article, styled the photoshoot and modeled.

This article allowed me to use my creative writing skills to write a compelling piece about living in a small town in Wisconsin. I was able to highlight my storytelling abilities for a topic that is close to my heart.

Additionally, I styled and modeled for the photoshoot, which required me to plan specific shot concepts, outfits and accessories.
