Public Relations Campaign

During my Public Relations Strategies course during my Spring 2024 semester at the University of Wisconsin, our group of eight students was tasked with creating an entire public relations campaign from start to finish for a real-life client, Duesterbeck's Brewing Company located in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

My responsibilities included forming a media kit through several elements: crafting a company FAQ, product fact sheets, spokesperson bios, a boilerplate, a lead news release, a media advisory, a retail trade press release and a list of reporters along with email pitches for each. These elements required extensive market research into Wisconsin's craft beer industry as well as an audit of the client's current communications and marketing efforts. Our finished products were presented to the client, who said they would rethink their communications strategy after my group's findings.
