I design narratives and dialogue branches for games and interactive learning modules.
I design grid-based tactical movement puzzles, cipher puzzles, codes, and more.
I write and design immersive, narrative documents, such as autopsy reports, receipts, love letters, and more.
I create show bibles for pitching and developing worldbuilding, character design, and lore.
I started as an ESL teacher in South Korea, teaching kids from 9 to 18 years old. A lot of focus was on test preparation and test-taking skills.
I met my partner while teaching in South Korea and we've been happily married since 2012.
I continued teaching ESL in Ireland for 6 more years. I got my CELTA at UCC, and a Training and Education certification for higher-level education at Griffith College Cork.
We moved to the States in 2018 where I landed a job writing for a murder mystery game company. For a short time, I was teaching an ESL government grant program at Howard Community College as an adjunct. The program provided free English courses to refugees and immigrants looking for help with the language.
I started as a Writer at the murder mystery game company and established myself as Lead Writer 8 months later, after pitching and creating my podcast 'Earth Break'.
I led a team of writers to create the new flagship game, 'Escape the Invasion', a sci-fi mystery set in the same world as 'Earth Break'.
After the company's mass layoff in May 2022, I went on to produce my own podcasts: A horror anthology podcast called 'Shoe Bones' and a TV re-watch podcast of The Vampire Diaries called 'The Vampire Journals'.
At the end of 2022, I started therapy due to work-related PTSD. The game industry was a tough place, but I also made life-long friends there and created some works I am incredibly proud of. I was diagnosed as low-support needs autistic with ADHD. This helped me reflect better on my burnout and how to pick myself back up and move forward.
I started work as a Learning Advisory manager at Accenture in 2022. This is where all of my past experiences came together: education, creative writing, and game design. I started working on my skills as a project manager and instructional designer.
I'm now working full time, in graduate school for a Master's in Professional Writing, and I do freelance contract writing work on the side.
I also help my partner with play testing and proofreading their personal projects.
