The Transfiguration

This painting again inspired by the upper area of the full moon photo, features the three images of Jesus in the middle, Moses on his right and Elijah on his left but the apostles only interpreted the other two images to be them. My interpretation in this painting is also the portrayal of the Trinity with God the Father (as Elijah) and Jesus (The Most High) on His right hand and The Holy Spirit (as Moses) proceeding from the Father and the Son.

Below Jesus I also have painted the appearance of the Angel Gabriel to Mary and to the right the assumption of Mary into heaven, and further right the Glorification of Jesus on his way to Jerusalem.
