This Nativity painting (left) is based on the b&w photo (right) from the full moon, and features Mary, the Christ child, shepherds, and other worshipers. The string of bright "lights" inspired me to paint a Menorah since Christmas time may have been during Hanuka. I didn't paint the roses in the bottom right corner until several years after I had finished the rest of the painting. I was prompted because of a dream I had of an old lady standing in front of the painting pointing to the bottom corner and then an image of roses flashing before me. The location on the entire full moon photo (lower right) is shown in the red square.
