Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort (Lutz): 17 miles, measured from the park's street address. 257 sites, the smallest of the five. Lists laundry and pets; no mail center or RV storage listed. Phone 813-949-6551.
Silver Dollar Golf, Trap Club & RV Resort (Odessa): about 15 miles, measured from the centre of Odessa, not the park itself, so rounded to five miles. 459 sites, the largest of the five. Lists pets only: no laundry, mail center or RV storage listed. Phone 813-920-4185.
Vacation Village RV Resort (Largo): 17 miles, measured from the park's street address. 275 sites. Lists laundry, a mail center and pets. Phone 727-531-5589.
Terra Ceia Village RV Resort (Palmetto): about 30 miles, measured from the centre of Palmetto, not the park. 393 sites. The only Tampa Bay park listing all four long-stay basics: laundry, mail center, RV storage and pets. Phone 941-729-4422.
Winter Quarters Manatee RV Resort (Bradenton): about 30 miles, measured from the centre of Bradenton, not the park. 415 sites. Lists laundry, RV storage and pets; no mail center listed. Phone 941-745-2600.
What the comparison shows. Only 2 of the 5 list a mail center, Vacation Village and Terra Ceia. Only 2 list RV storage, Terra Ceia and Winter Quarters Manatee. Silver Dollar has the most sites and lists the fewest long-stay services. Each of the five publishes its own local number, so the unpublished questions go to the park itself and not a central line.
The metro page also measures the nearest verified park from ten towns around the bay. Four results matter for a long stay:
Clearwater and St. Petersburg are 6.4 and 10 miles from Vacation Village.
Land O' Lakes and Wesley Chapel are 2 and 5.7 miles from Winter Quarters Pasco.
Brandon, Valrico, Riverview and Plant City are 21 to 24 miles from their nearest verified park, Winter Quarters Pasco. On the directory's measurements, no verified park sits within 20 miles of any of them.
Ruskin is about 15 miles from Terra Ceia, an approximate figure because Terra Ceia's position is a town centre.
If your work, hospital or rebuild is east or southeast of Tampa, a long stay at any of these five means a daily drive of 20 miles or more each way in a straight line, and road miles are longer. Measure from the park's street address before you book, especially for the three parks marked "about".
All 5 parks publish the same line on their operator pages, read on October 14, 2026: from April 15 to September 15, "reservations can have a maximum of 14 days per site", and back-to-back stays are allowed if you change sites. There is no uncapped verified park in this metro. The three verified parks with no published cap are all near Asheville, North Carolina.
The same pages invite a long stay with "special pricing on stays longer than 27 days." A summer reservation here can never be longer than 14 days, so no booking between April 15 and September 15 reaches that tier. Each one books on the short-stay terms instead:
Deposit. One night's rack rate is charged before arrival at all 5.
Balance. Due before arrival at Winter Quarters Pasco and Silver Dollar; due on the reservation start date at Vacation Village, Terra Ceia and Winter Quarters Manatee.
Cancellation. Full refund up to 2 days before arrival.
Neither the short-stay rate nor the long-stay rate is published, so whether a summer of 14-day bookings costs more than a winter month is a question for the park. Ask for both rates side by side.
A 14-day booking is far short of six months, so under Florida Statutes 513.01 every summer booking here is a transient stay, and neither of the two 212.03(4) exemptions can apply. Those two routes are a written lease for longer than six months signed up front, or six months of continuous residence with the tax paid, after which it stops. A summer run of 11 bookings never meets either.
The metro page reports that the towns around Tampa Bay sit in 3 counties with local option rates of 5.0 to 6.0 percent on the Department of Revenue's form DR-15TDT. Added to the 6 percent state rate, that is 11 to 12 percent on every summer booking, before any county discretionary sales surtax. Treat it as a floor and confirm the rate for the park's own county.

Mail. 3 of 5 do not list a mail center, and none says it refuses guest mail.
Pick the cluster first: Lutz and Odessa north of Tampa, Largo on the Pinellas side, or Palmetto and Bradenton south across the bay.
If you need mail held or the RV stored between stays, start with Terra Ceia, which lists both.
For a summer stay, ask for the full run of 11 bookings and the site for each in writing, and ask the short-stay rate.
