Long term RV parks near Asheville are the only verified parks in the directory where you can spend a summer on one site. On October 14, 2026, Long Term RV Rentals had 4 verified parks around Asheville, North Carolina, all within 11 miles of the city centre point, and 3 of them publish no summer cap. This page compares the four, works out what a summer costs at the one park that prints a price, and lists what the other three leave to a phone call. The metro directory that owns these records is longtermrv.rentals/parks/asheville.
Distances are straight-line miles from the directory's Asheville centre point, as printed on the metro page on October 14, 2026. Unlike Tampa Bay and Fort Myers, every Asheville distance is exact: three are measured from the park's street address and one from the park as mapped in OpenStreetMap.
Wilson's Riverfront RV Park (Asheville): 3 miles, from the park's street address. No cap published, and the page does not say whether it takes a stay of 28 nights or more. Water and sewer at the pad. Its home page says it is open year round with full hookups, and: "We lost our bath house and most of our trees with Helene, but we have an upgraded electrical system." Phone 828-254-4676.
Asheville Bear Creek RV Park (Asheville): 4 miles, from the park's street address. No cap published. "Monthly rental terms are available", at a published range of $850 to $1,500 a month. Water and sewer at the pad, and RV storage listed. Phone 828-253-0798.
Scenic RV Resort (Asheville): 5 miles, from the park's street address. The one capped park: 14 days per site from April 15 to September 15, with back-to-back stays allowed if you change sites. 25 sites. Lists a mail center and pets. Phone 866-414-9424.
Rutledge Lake RV Park Resort (Fletcher): 11 miles, from the park as mapped in OpenStreetMap. No cap published, and the page does not say whether it takes a stay of 28 nights or more. Pull-through sites take RVs "up to 45 feet long plus vehicles". Lists laundry, pets and water at the pad. Phone 828-654-7873.
What the comparison shows. Bear Creek is the only park here that both publishes no cap and says it takes monthly stays. Wilson's and Rutledge publish no cap but do not say they take a month, so "no cap" there is a silence, not a promise. Scenic is the only one listing a mail center.
The metro page measures the nearest verified park from eleven towns, and every one is under 10 miles from a park. The closest pairings: Fletcher is 1.4 miles and Arden 1.7 miles from Rutledge Lake; Candler is 4.6 miles from Bear Creek; Swannanoa is 4.7 miles from Scenic; Woodfin is 4.7 miles from Wilson's. The farthest are Weaverville and Hendersonville, each 9.2 miles from their nearest park. These are straight lines, not road miles, so add for the drive.
In Florida, every verified park turns a summer into 11 bookings and 10 site changes. Near Asheville that arithmetic applies only at Scenic RV Resort, whose operator page carries the same 14-day rule as the Florida parks, read on October 14, 2026. The other three publish no cap.
Bear Creek is the only park in the whole directory that prints a monthly price. Its rates page, re-read on October 14, 2026, says "Our long term monthly rates range from $850-$1500 and are subject to seasonal changes." It does not say which months sit at which end. Counted as five monthly payments, mid April to mid September, that range comes to $4,250 at the bottom and $7,500 at the top. That is a spread of $3,250 on the same stay, and the page gives you no way to narrow it. Ask Bear Creek which rate applies to your exact months before you compare it with anywhere else.
The same page says "No refunds for early departures." On a monthly stay, ask whether that applies to a month already paid.
North Carolina works differently from Florida. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 105-164.4F(e)(2) exempts an accommodation supplied to the same person for 90 or more continuous days, as the metro page sets out with its sources. April 15 to September 15 is 154 days, well past 90.
The metro page reads the Department of Revenue's reasoning in a 2017 private letter ruling this way: without a document requiring 90 continuous days, the park generally collects the tax until day 90 and any refund comes afterwards. So get the 90-day commitment in writing before the first night. The ruling applies only to the taxpayer who asked for it, and no source says whether an RV pad counts as an accommodation, so confirm both with the park and the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
At Scenic the two rules collide. The exemption wants 90 continuous days supplied to the same person, and Scenic's summer rule moves you to a new site every 14 days. Nothing published says whether that breaks the 90 days.
Scenic's long-stay tier runs 28 to 179 days, five days shorter than the Florida parks' 184. Read on October 14, 2026, its page publishes no extended-stay route past the tier, where the Florida pages offer the 185-day "Agreement for Use of RV Site". A full winter from September 16 to April 14 is 210 nights, 31 past Scenic's tier. Ask Scenic how it books the rest before you plan a season there.
A monthly rate, at 3 of the 4. Bear Creek's range has no months attached.
How electricity is billed on a monthly stay. Scenic says "Electric not included for stays of 30 days or longer" and gives no rate. Bear Creek and Wilson's list full hookups but not how a month of power is charged. Rutledge's page does not say how it is billed.
Whether Wilson's or Rutledge takes a stay of 28 nights or more.
Whether a park accepts an insurance-funded stay or invoices monthly in the guest's name. 0 of 4.
What Wilson's has for showers and laundry since it lost its bath house.
For a summer on one site, start with Bear Creek, the only uncapped park that says it takes a month, and ask which end of the $850 to $1,500 range your months fall at.
Call Wilson's and Rutledge to ask whether they take a stay of 28 nights or more at all.
Agree a stay of 90 days or more in writing before the first night, and ask the park how it handles the North Carolina exemption.
If you choose Scenic for summer, ask for the full run of 14-day bookings and the sites in writing.
