In the realms of Magic, he is an extremely long lived Technocrat, who has directed Russia over the centuries in ways he saw fit. He also oversaw the creation of the 'Weapon X' program that created Mathilda. He is intent on getting her back into the fold of the Technocracy.
Young, ambitious and a callous operator. When various family members were either killed or incarcerated, Grace acted quickly to consolidate power and become the ‘Capo dei capi’ of organized crime in the region. If it’s illegal, chances are her criminal enterprise has a hand in it. Recognised by some as the ‘true power’ of Monaco.
Her rise in the ranks also granted her a seat on the High Council. With Mathilda recently arriving in Monaco, Grace is watching her closely, as she is concerned as to why the Autem Imperator is suddenly on her doorstep.
Achachak, meaning literally spirit, was Marcus's first true master. One he trusted, one who wandered the lands to help the spirits of the land, one who he discovered did not work for 'good'.
An exceptionally skilled Dream speaker shaman, he embodies their beliefs fully. To walk the path of the dream, of the many worlds and the many beings of the worlds. He acts in service to them, to all of them. Even when that means to raise a young boy into a man that is ready to act as body and host for these beings.
The first spirit that possessed Marcus. Once a loyal domestic spirit, a Spiriduș , bound by oath or trust to a Mage's household it remained stuck on earth as the house fell. Many years passed and it eventually called out to Marcus, who desired freedom from his adoptive families control. With out the knowledge to make a proper agreement Marcus was possessed and the Spiriduș took its new form, the Blood Crow. For weeks it travelled Europe, using Marcus for its own desires, each day those desires only growing. It was only when Marcus met his Master, Achachak, was the possession ended. The time it spent has left scars and traits that Marcus still cannot shake.
But the Blood Crow was not truly banished, and even now it calls to Marcus, the pact for freedom never met and never ended.
One of the spirits deep in the Umbra attracted by Achachaks works, he gained interest in Marcus from his rebellion agains this Master. This interest grew as Marcus learnt more and did not recoil or flee.
Over the years this interest has grown and waned as Marcus has failed to truly step up to the plate, to grasp for power to control himself and to even fully dominate his own Paradigm.
But War is not a slow game, it is one of patience, of growth, of struggle, both inside and out, of contest.
Perhaps one day Marcus will prove himself worth to step onto the board. For now War is satisfied to play with his other pieces, sometimes sending some influence to shake up Marcus's life.
