Research
My research concentrates on health economics, immigration, and labor economics, covering topics such as the role of public policies on social mobility, immigrant assimilation, and reducing the impact of health shocks (unexpected changes in individuals' health status) on wealth. My research also looks at the intergenerational effects of barriers to access to health care and health coverage across race/ethnicity and place of birth/immigration/nativity.
My work has been published in Demography, the Journal of Economics Perspective, the American Economic Review P&P, The Journal of Economic Education, International Education Planning, Review of Black Political Economy, the Journal of Economics, Race, and Policy.
