I am a health/labor economist who specializes in research on the role of public policies on social mobility, immigrant assimilation, discrimination, and the reduction of the impact of health shocks on wealth among minority groups. My research also looks at the intergenerational effects of barriers to access to health care and health coverage across race/ethnicity and nativity.
MISSION: To lead and develop research and teaching in Economics in a way that interconnects them, uses cutting-edge empirical methodologies and theories, is forward-looking, and includes diverse voices in the profession.
VISION: To create, foster, and inspire a research and learning environment that is visionary, inclusive, challenging, and community-minded.
