This board game project so far ha been one of my favorite projects that I have done in this class. Me and my group started this project at the end of November and I have just now started doing test cuts with the laser cutter in the beginning of February. In those months I have been developing the sketches for the four corners of the monopoly board. To create the more intricate squares, I traced the sketches over a PNG of the square as seen in the community chest to the left.

Pictured above is one of the four corners of the board. This sketch shows some insight on how all the squares were made and dimensioned.

First test cuts of the text, the text on the left is how it looks when I used the cut tool and the text on the right is how it looks when I use the engrave tool.

Pictured here is the first full test cut of one of the corners. Some of the lines got messed up due to some oversights, but other than those few errors it came out really well.

Shown above is 3/4 of the test board roughly assembled.

Pictured to the left is the final gameboard and the final pieces. The board took about 2 weeks to finish, due to files not being correct, and other constraints. on the right is all the houses and hotels. This was the most tedious part of the project and was a constant thing we had to be working on, due to being able print 1 at a time. One mistake that turned out really well is the wood not being aligned. I think the end looks better than it would have if the wood was all aligned.

Pictured above is a final mock-up of the game being played with all of the houses, hotels, and game pieces being used.
