My theory of student development is rooted in the belief that a supportive and inclusive community fosters personal growth, resilience, and a sense of belonging. I hope that throughout the academic year, my residents will develop not only academically but also personally and socially. I aim to create an environment where they feel empowered to explore their identities, develop their leadership skills, and build meaningful relationships with their peers. I want them to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, learn to navigate challenges with resilience, and appreciate the diverse perspectives within our community. Ultimately, I hope they leave the year with a stronger sense of self, a deeper understanding of others, and the tools to succeed both academically and in life.
