GOAL
Designing a brand-new app from Cormorant Group of Food that allows users to order and pick up meals quickly and easily.
USERS
Dedicated professionals, business owners, or office workers.
CHALLENGES & RESEARCH
Conducting interviews and creating empathy maps helped me identify pain points and user needs. I explored the persona of a group of busy people. Due to user research, I have shifted the focus from time to frustrations, such as incorrect or incomplete food, food availability, environment, and user abilities.
Users need a clear way to confirm an order
Users want an easy and trusted payment procedure
Users expect recognizable position and size in features of any element in each step

INSIGHT FROM HIGH-FIDELITY USABILITY STUDY
Based on the theme that: some of the users want to have a smaller size of some buttons, an insight is: users expect some changes in the elements so they can recognize them for easy navigation.
Based on the theme that: finding and placing an order for food is easy for almost all users, an insight is: users need some actionable elements for how to place an order.
Based on the theme that: most users liked to get tips and thank-you messages, an insight is: users should get a charming copy in the app that could increase conversion.
LEARNING
Presenting ideas on paper is just the beginning of the design. Usability studies, feedback, and peer-review help facilitate iterations for any high-level activity.
NEXT TO DO
More user research required to update improve the design with new insights.
