This privacy policy applies to the Smart File manager app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Mobitrixs (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

To provide you with complete features and better services, Smart File Manager requests the following permissions. Each one is used only for the feature described, and you can deny or revoke any of them in your device settings, though the related feature will stop working.

Storage and File Access

All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 11 and above): lets the app browse, copy, move, delete, rename, and compress files and folders anywhere on your device. Files are only handled on your device and are never uploaded to us.
Read Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): reads files and media on older Android versions.
Write Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 10 and below): writes and edits files on older Android versions where scoped storage does not apply.

Network and Connectivity

Internet (INTERNET): connects to Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, and Performance Monitoring) and opens Play Store or browser links you tap.
Network State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): checks whether you are online before performing network tasks. Firebase also relies on this.
Wi-Fi State (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE): monitors Wi-Fi status and discovers printers on your network for the Print feature.
Local Network Access (ACCESS_LOCAL_NETWORK): finds printers on your local network on newer Android versions. We do not scan your network for any other purpose.

Device Features

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13 and above): shows push notifications sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn these off at any time.
Set Wallpaper (SET_WALLPAPER): applies an image as your wallpaper when you choose the "Set as" option in the image viewer.
Install Packages (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES): lets you install APK files from the Apps and APKs list. Android always asks for your confirmation before installing.
Delete Packages (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES): lets you uninstall apps from the Apps and APKs list. Android always asks for your confirmation before removing an app.
Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC, and USE_FINGERPRINT on Android 9 and below): unlocks the Safe Box using your fingerprint or device credential. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device’s secure hardware. The app never receives, reads, or stores your fingerprint.

Advertising and Analytics SDKs

We use third-party SDKs for ads and analytics. These SDKs may collect device information (for example, device ID, IP address, usage data) to show relevant ads and improve performance. The SDKs we use include:

AdMob (Google Ads SDK), to display ads and analyze ad performance.
Facebook Audience Network SDK, to show personalized ads if you consent.
Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Performance Monitoring), for usage analysis, crash reporting, push notifications, and app performance.

2. Why We Collect Your Information

We collect and use information only to:

Provide and improve our services;
Respond to your requests and support;
Ensure security and prevent fraud;
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. How We Share, Transfer, and Disclose Your Information

We promise to keep your information confidential. We may share limited data only in these cases:

With your explicit consent;
To comply with legal or government requests;
With our service providers (AdMob, Facebook, Firebase, and similar) for analytics and advertising purposes, following strict confidentiality agreements.

Transfer

We will not transfer your personal information except as required by law or regulatory authorities.

Public Disclosure

We do not publicly disclose any personal information unless legally required.

5. Your Rights

You may:

View the information collected about you;
Revoke permissions such as Storage, All Files Access, Local Network, or Notifications;
Turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings;
Disable biometric unlock for the Safe Box in the app settings;
Delete app data or your account;
Opt out of personalized ads.

6. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Smart File Manager does not store your files or file contents on our servers. All information such as cloud storage tokens and Safe Box contents is stored locally on your device and removed when you uninstall the app. Limited technical data, such as crash logs and a push notification token, is processed by Firebase as described above. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

7. Children’s Privacy

Smart File Manager is intended for users aged 13 and above. If we discover that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians may contact us at saharchaudhary724@gmail.com for removal requests.

8. To California Residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how we use it;
Request deletion of your personal data;
Opt out of personalized advertising;
