Below are some key factors to consider when deciding what game to use and how the needs are met differently.
Editing abilities: If games can be created/ modified quickly and intuitively, teachers will not experience a large learning curve and will be more likely to use the game.
Information generated: This is perhaps the most important aspect of the game because of its ability to generate useful data. Teachers can use this information to determine which concepts/skills students need further clarification and which students might need extra support. If these games are used to set the baseline for skills, then this information can provide a direction where teachers might need to clarify misconceptions or address prerequisite knowledge.
Conversion files: Having the ability to easily manipulate the data generated is important when discovering trends and organizing the information into different ways (e.g., graphing the data) to answer questions.
Our favourite feature: As teachers, we use these games in the classroom. These features are what we find especially meaningful and why we would choose to use these mobile games in the classroom.
