Sample collection and patient demographic data recording for NIB's project “Epidemiology, Genomic Diversity, and Antimicrobial Resistance Dynamics of Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase-producing Enterobacterales (ESBL-E) in Bangladesh” at 250 Bed General Hospital, Noakhali Sadar Upazila. By combining microbiological surveillance with whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis, the project aims to identify key resistance determinants, track transmission patterns, and generate evidence to support improved infection control strategies and antimicrobial stewardship in healthcare settings.

Hi-C Analysis of Chromatin Conformation in Immune Cells
Applied the Hi-C technique to investigate three-dimensional chromatin organization in murine immune cells. The study focused on dendritic cells and lymphocytes isolated from mouse spleen and lymph nodes, with particular emphasis on the regulation of the Irf8 transcription factor. Immune cells were experimentally stimulated using IL-12 to examine changes in chromatin interactions associated with activation.
RNA-Seq Analysis of Gene Expression in Dendritic Cells
Performed computational analysis of RNA-seq datasets derived from mouse dendritic cells. Utilized shell scripting–based pipelines for data processing, analysis, and visualization to characterize gene expression patterns and immune-related regulatory signatures.

Projects:
Characterization of Bacterial Strains and Enzyme Production
Investigated Bacillus strains to evaluate differential production of industrially important enzymes, particularly protease and α-amylase, under biofilm and submerged fermentation conditions. The study also examined the influence of various mineral supplements on crude enzyme activity to understand factors affecting enzyme yield and performance.
Hepatitis C in Bangladesh: Prevalence and Molecular Detection
Conducted a comprehensive review to assess the current epidemiological status of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) in Bangladesh. The study synthesized available evidence to estimate national prevalence rates and provide an updated overview of circulating HCV genotypes, highlighting gaps in detection and surveillance using molecular approaches.
I worked as the head and directed more than 200 volunteers from my university and 20 other institutes into 10 different teams to successfully organize the program. Got an immense response from the Biotechnology enthusiastic community of Bangladesh and nearly 1100 students from 30 universities as well as over 100 secondary educational institutes from all over the nation participated in the event.
This event was planned to disseminate the ideas of Biotechnology to young learners from schools, colleges and universities. My post program survey suggests that by organizing a event of this genre, I was able to make people generating a keen interest on Biotechnology which will help in the future to develop scientific minds with critical thinking ability. This ability can be further nourished and applied in solving complex issues of our developing countries to ultimately build a community with sustainability to meet the challenges of 21st century.
