Finding a Community Garden
While we hope another organization will help connect people with gardens there is none at this time. In lieu of this, there are some options
Contact your neighborhood organization or City Councilmember to let them know you are interested in a joining a community garden
Inquire in the area that you would like to garden -- ideally the closer the better. You'll want to make it as easy as possible to visit daily or every other day.
Ask via COMGAR -- the community garden listserve -- instructions on webpage.
We'll announce any new opportunities to join a garden here and via COMGAR.

Twin Cities Metro Growers Network
A Networking Group of the Sustainable Farming Association, the Twin Cities Growers Network aims to connect anyone who grows produce seriously and seeks education, networking and fellowship. Whether you grow for market, personal or community use, or to rediscover indigenous and ethnic roots, if you want to network with like-minded people in the metro, this group is for you. Coordinated by Karl Hakanson, UMN Extension Educator and started in 2019.
American Community Gardening Association
For decades community gardeners have come together to develop training and support for development of awesome community gardens! They have a map of gardens, and amazing resources ranging from how to start and run a community garden to how to advocate for supportive public policies.
