Clinical Advisor

Ian Maher is a surgeon and professor in the Dermatology Department at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He specializes in performing Mohs Micrographic Surgery procedures for non-melanoma skin cancer patients. The team was able to shadow him in the clinic and observed his procedures to determine which gaps in medical technology needed to be improved or filled. As the team’s clinical advisor, he assisted in the planning of the overall device/prototype and provided valuable insight from a clinical perspective.
