About
The parish hall is situated in the centre of Melton Mowbray next to our parish church of St John the Baptist. Opened in 2026, it is a modern flexible space to hire with a kitchen equipped to a very high standard.
The hall is available for hire to private individuals, community groups, not for profit organisations, charities, local government and businesses. Please note there is a minimum booking duration of 90 minutes.

Facilities
The main hall is fully accessible with an entrance lobby, small terrace area at the front of the building, four unisex toilets and a separate disabled access toilet. Banqueting tables and upholstered chairs are available in the main hall.
The catering quality equipped kitchen has a serving hatch to the main hall and includes a convection oven, convection/steam combi oven, microwave, overhead grill, separate sinks, commercial dishwasher, hot cupboard, heated gantry, water boiler, fridge and freezer.
On-street parking is available at Thorpe End, Goodriche Street and Rutland Street, but restrictions do apply Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Morrisons car park next to the parish hall has a maximum stay of 90 minutes. The nearest public car park on Chapel Street, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1EE, is a short stay car park, up to 4 hours, with charging hours between 7:30am to 6:00pm. It is about a 6 minute walk from the hall.
The Premises is a facility owned by the Diocese of Nottingham and which is primarily used by the Parish in conjunction with the Church and its services, including baptisms, weddings and funerals. It is available for use by groups associated with the Parish or for other purposes at the sole discretion of the Parish Priest.
The Premises can only be used for purposes which are consistent with the charitable objects of the Diocese of Nottingham. It is a condition that the Premises will not be used for any purpose which is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church or which could cause offence. At all times the Catholic nature of the Premises must be respected. Any breach or potential breach of this condition will mean that the use of the Premises is withdrawn.
