Asking questions
The students prepared questions:
How long have you been cooking?
What is your favourite thing to cook?
What does it feel like being a chef?
What was your favourite food that you made from your book?
What made you want to become a chef and author?
Do either of you grow the three sisters?
Do you like to cook as well?
What is your favourite thing to write about?
How did you discover the Three Sisters?
What is your favourite other dish that you’ve made with the three sisters?
How do you get your ideas for new recipes?
How did you think of putting the spaghetti squash in the soup instead of another squash?
We learned a new word: miyo-kîsikâw , which means "it's a beautiful day" in Cree.
Chef chartrand discussed the creative process; that creativity often stems from making mistakes and trying again, and again. He shared his passion for eating food, making food, and sharing food. Jennifer discussed her love of growing food and eating from the garden. That growing food is simple to do, we don't have to complecate it. For example, you could simply have a basil plant in your room.

The students did a great job singing "enfant de paix" at the remembrance day assembly.
Merci Liv & Danica who carried the wreath.
Our wreath was a collaborative ADST project. We did some research, decided as a class on what we would do, then put it all together.
