It must be known here what the word of God that has not failed is, what the light to the nations is that is at issue…
Here is the hub of the wheel of the message being given here..
Gentiles can be called Israel in the aspect of Lo Ami = Ami in the end…
According to this theory, whoever carries forth the light of Hashem is called Israel. This is at core only family Israel, but family Israel as positioned in redemption of the natural - not just as in the natural.
This explains the Ishmael dilemma… Ishmael cannot be the seed because Ishmael cannot testify from that place that Abraham is the first Israelite, the father and Sarah the mother because of the Decree of Hashem…
This is the rectification of the first mistake…It is not Isaac himself who rectifies the mistake of Hagar and Ishmael, but the decree of God concerning Isaac enacted in his life and in Abraham and Sarah’s life.
Since Paul explains the nature of the Hagar/Ishmael error in Israel’s testimony in Galatians, what does he mean here by “children of the flesh” and “children of promise”? This is nothing other than saying it is not Abraham, Isaac or Jacob in themselves but in their calling that are counted as offspring. As in Galatians, to think of Jacob in himself as being the offspring is to turn him for you into Esau.
This is the nature of the testimony and the correction of the testimony. God’s calling is that of Abraham and Sarah, not Abraham in his own right. Abraham in his own right can be counted alone, and therefore a reward of offspring can be given to him through Hagar. But the calling is not Abraham alone but Abraham and Sarah, for the calling is for the sake of the offspring who will sanctify the name of Hashem.
That is, Isaac and Rebekah were one, just as Abraham and Sarah were called as one. But this was not enough to rectify the testimony. It was not just the effect of the error that had to be rectified. It was the cause of the error, the failed understanding. It was the message that the error conveyed and what it failed to convey that had to be rectified, so that the testimony could be given correctly. What was this? This was that it was not the natural love between Abraham and Sarah but the love redeemed in the calling and made a new creation. It was that natural love transformed by faith in the calling and then in the covenant. This could not be testified in Isaac and Rebekah but was already indicated insomuch that Rebekah was the mother of two, of twins, but one was loved of God, signifying the World To Come, and one was hated of God, signifying this World. And this is because This World signifies Abraham in himself without the calling with Sarah, but the World To Come signifies Abraham as called with Sarah.
And what does this signify in regard to what was required for the rectification of the testimony of Abraham’s calling? It signifies that Jacob was loved when he loved Rachel as he loved Leah and loved Leah as he loved Rachel. For he loved Rachel at first according to the love of Adam for Eve. But his love for Leah could only be and was his love for her according to the promise of the calling and the covenant. Therefore he elevated God’s love for him to this level when he elevated his love for Rachel to this level of his love for Leah. And his love for Leah became one with his love for Rachel. It was, therefore, not replacement love but redemption love.
Only with this rectified testimony is the word of God not fallen, as Paul says. Just as when the error was made with Hagar and Ishmael the word of God was not fallen, so now with the veil of Moshe the word of God is not fallen. Rather, it is manifested in Isaac and Jacob exactly what the testimony was in Abraham. And this is the testimony: there is no God but Hashem, who calls Israel and sets Israel apart as His manifestation of mercy, of Truth and Reconciliation — all being in Mashiach, the seed of Abraham.
In Mashiach atonement is made for corporate Israel, Abraham as called, as named according to the covenant, Isaac as called, as named according to the covenant, Jacob as called, as named according to the covenant, and all Israel as called, as named according to the covenant, according to the renewed covenant in Mashiach’s blood. By this alone is Hashem revealed to be the One True God, the God of Truth and Reconciliation.
In chapter 9 of Romans Paul is saying, therefore, just because there is a temporary error in Israel, it is nothing but that God has seen fit to allow this to show beyond all doubt and ignorance of mind that His choice of Israel is itself the defining line of the redemption of Adam, not Israel in its own self, that is as being a natural family, a family in Adam, but Israel as that natural family only as loved by Him and chosen by Him for the sake of His will to redeem Adam. This is the word of God that has not failed. It did not fail when Abraham took Hagar to wife and it has not failed now.
