This event opened the researcher's eyes to the purpose of this project. By exploring Milwaukee, the researcher was be able to see so many different parts of life while living here. Experiencing different cultures is one of the best parts of living in a big city, but it can be hard to do without being pushed.

By getting out of their apartment and into a new building, this researcher able to form a new connection and learn from someone who has experience in a world outside of MSOE. They learned about the importance of helping others; helping others is what the MKE LGBT Community Center does, and they love every second of it.

The photographer who took these photos was able to communicate raw emotion, and no matter what emotion is being conveyed, it’s beautiful to think that’s possible. Just because something is awful and horrific doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be learned about. Communicating raw emotion through art, that’s what this group needs to do.
