This transdisciplinary course examines the theory and practice of different therapeutic activities, including: canine, equine, horticulture, and music. 'Well-being' pertaining to various populations across the lifespan (e.g., persons with differing abilities, substance use disorders, and age-related changes) will be explored. Current research on models, applications, screening, and assessment geared to the specific populations will be addressed. Students will develop knowledge and skills through direct experiences with populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating relevant therapeutic approaches.
