Hey there!
I'm Miv Post and I'm a senior studying Emergent Digital Practices (with writing and computer science minors!) at the University of Denver in the picturesque Rocky Mountains.
I love to learn new things. Whether it's learning a new coding language or figuring out how to execute an idea with technology that is unfamiliar to me, I love the challenge of learning and mastering new skills. Maybe that's why I love reading so much and discovering new turns of phrases or ideas I had never considered. It is why I like to write and the satisfaction that comes from weaving words together in entirely new ways to create fresh stories. It is why I study emergence and seek to create with purpose in the development and application of the emerging, the previously untried, and the otherwise unimagined forms of knowledge, technology, and culture that will shape our future.
I love to interact with people. I'm a great team worker. I like to collaborate with others on projects and find a balance of ideas. This even extends to my coding abilities where I find more satisfaction in creating games for multiple people to play at once or developing apps that allow people to interact with those outside their bubble. When I write, I like to break down concepts so that my work is accessible to most if not all.
I love to travel. I have lived in 8 different states growing up so interacting with new settings, people, and schools became second nature. I try to make a point to see all I can and really explore the full potential of every state and city where I live. I've been learning French for 3 years now and hope to apply it next year on a trip to France. I hope to live abroad at some point in my life and am optimistic that my future work will lead me all over the world.
