Gyaan Jyoti is an NSS initiative aimed at spreading the light of knowledge among underprivileged children through informal education and interactive learning. NSS volunteers conducted teaching sessions focused on basic literacy, numeracy, moral values, and digital awareness. The program sought to make learning engaging through activities like storytelling, drawing, games, and group discussions. “Gyaan Jyoti” not only helped bridge educational gaps but also encouraged volunteers to actively contribute to community development through the power of education.
“Harit Prahari” is an NSS initiative focused on protecting and boosting green cover, especially where it is most needed. NSS volunteers carry out surveys to find areas lacking trees by checking the number of trees, their ability to filter oxygen, and official Air Quality Index (AQI) reports. This helps to identify places that urgently need plantations and ensures plantation drives have real impact.
Varsha Jal Sangrah is an NSS initiative focused on promoting awareness and practical knowledge about rain water conservation and sustainable water use.
