When walking around the school, I came across this artwork made of graphite, and considered it to be opposite of me. To begin with, this artwork is only made from pencil shading and a grey-scale colour palette. However, this is contrary to me because I allow colour in my life and do not favour living a depressed or pessimistic life. Moreover, the artwork portrays students reading a book or studying, but as mentioned, it is created in a grey-scale scheme; though, I find joy in learning and it is a way for me to grow and become "colourful". Finally, the students are reading and studying together; however, I like to read and study independently because it helps me focus more. Through this way of studying, I better grasp the knowledge expressed and am able to make connections to the text. Ultimately, this artwork displayed on the wall beside the school's library is opposite of me due to the aforementioned reasonings.Â
