Responsibilities
Lead the overall planning, implementation, and technical oversight of child-centered multi-hazard Anticipatory Action programmes across multiple hazard-prone districts.
Develop annual and quarterly implementation plans, monitor progress against agreed workplans, and ensure timely delivery of programme outputs and outcomes.
Support project budget planning, tracking, and spending monitoring with finance teams, making sure expenditures match approved budgets and donor requirements.
Provide technical and operational oversight to implementing partners including SKS Foundation, YPSA, RIMES, and JAGO NARI, ensuring quality programme delivery and compliance with partnership agreements.
Oversee programme monitoring, learning, and reporting processes, ensuring timely submission of high-quality donor and internal reports.
Senior Officer-Knowledge Management [Jan 2025 - Oct 2025]
Responsibilities
Coordinated knowledge management workflows under the GFFO Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action Program, supporting documentation, learning, and reporting for humanitarian operations.
Contribute to donor reporting, knowledge products, and programme documentation to support evidence-based decision-making and programme visibility.
Coordinate with government agencies including Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), Department of Disaster Management (DDM), and local authorities to ensure institutional alignment and sustainability.
Strengthen partner capacity on anticipatory action, early warning dissemination, and inclusive programme implementation through technical guidance, training, and mentoring.
Research Officer [Nov 2022 - Dec 2024]
Responsibilities
Drafting concept notes to develop a new research concept note in alignment with the division goal, research priorities and objectives;
Assisting the principal investigator (PI) in drafting technical and financial proposals and developing the initial approach and methodology;
Conducting satellite image analysis using Google Earth Engine (GEE) and ArcGIS Pro and preparing GEE apps for donor organizations.
Preparing a knowledge brief on air pollution, lightning, landslide and heat waves.
Monitoring and analyzing data from climate data store to assess potential risks, such as weather patterns (ERA5 reanalysis data), hydrological conditions, geological factors, and other relevant data;
Evaluating historical data and trends to identify patterns of potential hazards (Flood, Cyclone, Flash flood, Dengue, Riverbank Erosion and Cold wave).
Analyzing Data, conducting regression analysis, time series analysis and forecasting using machine learning algorithms, developing spatial and temporal databases, etc, as advised by supervisor;
Developing and maintaining a communication strategy for sharing risk assessments with relevant stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and humanitarian organizations.
Presenting research findings both in the internal and external meeting seminar and workshops;
Preparing scientific articles and exploring different research ideas and innovations.
