ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I’m a remote sensing enthusiast, passionate about learning advanced image processing techniques to reveal the unseen
Mithun Dutta is passionate about ensuring that climate and weather information translates into meaningful action that protects lives and livelihoods. His work focuses on bridging the gap between scientific forecasts and real-world decision-making, helping institutions and communities act ahead of disasters rather than reacting afterward. Through his role at Save the Children Bangladesh, he contributes to advancing anticipatory action approaches that strengthen preparedness and resilience in hazard-prone regions.
With a background in climate change, health, and risk analysis from his time at icddr,b, Mithun brings a strong foundation in evidence-based research and applied climate science. He has worked closely with national institutions, technical agencies, and humanitarian partners to support the development of early warning systems, risk-informed planning, and community-centered resilience solutions.
He is particularly interested in advancing innovative, science-driven approaches that connect climate information with humanitarian action, policy, and practice, ensuring that vulnerable populations are better prepared for a changing climate.
