Service-Related Experience

While a student at SCTCC, I became a student member of the Central Minnesota Builders Association (CMBA). CMBA's mission is, "The CMBA strives to improve the Central Minnesota building industry by advocating for the industry at the local, state, and national levels; educating our members about building industry best practices; and connecting our members in activities that strengthen competitiveness, professionalism, and the public’s confidence in our industry." As a student member, classmates and I attended several meetings as well as local conferences where local business members showcased their products and networked with one another. This experience definitely opened my eyes to the importance of networking within the professional business world and creating professional relationships that will last throughout your career.
