About Me

I went through a mostly traditional styled education system, but I began to see change from when I started at Westwood Elementary, to when I finished my Master's degree from Rice University.

I excelled in the traditional educational system; where the educator lectures, and later you're tested on it. An area of study in my undergraduate degree in psychology, related to how people learn. Most people really don't learn much through traditional methods- they survive through it but often with very little benefit.

I regularly design and redesign my courses in relation to research in psychology and neuroscience,  the challenges and successes I see with my own students, as well as with respect to what employers and universities are seeking.
