Forms will be available here on October 1. Registration & Auditions will be open from October 1, 2026 through November 9, 2026 at 11:59pm CST. Please read all information regarding eligibility and acceptance before registering.

Registration & Audition Procedures

STEP 1: REGISTRATION

Completed by director

The Registration & Fee Form must be completed by a certified school representative (band director, teacher, or administrator). Registration forms submitted by students will not be accepted.

• • The non-refundable audition fee is $15 per student.

  • Credit card payments are accepted through the online registration form. Checks can be made payable to the Percussive Arts Society, and must be postmarked by November 10, 2026.

  • W-9 forms are available upon request.

  • Late entries will not be accepted. Students should confirm with their director that the Registration & Fee Form has been completed prior to the deadline.

STEP 2: AUDITION

Completed by student or director

Auditions will be submitted by the student or director via video recording through the online Audition Form.

Video Procedures:

• • Three separate videos (one for each etude) will be submitted through the Dropbox links provided in the form.

  • Each video should be recorded as a continuous take with no cuts or audio editing.

  • Audition videos must show hands and instruments clearly. Use the demonstration videos as a guide for camera placement and angle.

  • No identifying attire or school identifiers should be visible.

  • Videos should be labeled as “HS Mallet Etude,” etc. and should not include your name, school, or other identifiers.

  • WATCH YOUR VIDEO BEFORE YOU SUBMIT! Can we see the full playing area of the instrument? Is the music stand blocking your hands? Is the camera too far or too close?

STEP 3: ENSEMBLE NOTIFICATION

On December 1: selected students will be notified by email, and the ensemble list will be posted on the MOPAS website and Facebook page.
